Set on a sprawling one-acre lot in Vaughan, Ontario, this landscape was designed to ground a strikingly modern residence in rugged, naturalistic stone. A curved driveway arrives between tiered armour-stone walls, and from the timber entrance the grounds unfold as a sequence of limestone terraces, flagstone paths, and boulder gardens that soften the home's clean architectural lines.

At the heart of the property, a single continuous outcropping of stacked limestone was built on site to house two cascading waterfalls, one twelve feet and the other a wider eight, spilling past the terraces into naturalistic pools. A monolithic stone staircase climbs alongside, while a glass-railed stair descends from the upper balcony and splits toward grid-pattern limestone and random-flagstone patios set for dining beneath the falls.

Beyond the terraces, a winding flagstone path threads down the sweeping lawn to a private tennis and basketball court, pausing at an outdoor stone bar with a fridge built into the boulders for hot afternoons courtside. Mature trees and a screen of evergreens enclose the park-like grounds, where clean modern living and hand-built natural stone feel as though they always belonged together.
